Well...I don't know what to say. This whole week, in addition to thinking about birthday presents, I also thought alot over a conversation that I had with a friend last week. I remember the topic we were talking about - my knight in shining armour. But that's not the important part. While we were talking, we somehow got to a scenario: 'What if he knows I like him and he plays me?'. My response was "Why would he play me at all, even if he doesn't like me?"...and my friend, she says "I duno. Because it's fun." At that point, I was thinking, why would a person want to play anyone at all? You know it's going to break their heart, so why even do it? Then, my friend says "Well, yeah, all I have to say for you is be careful, because you never know when he's going to play you."

So, I get home, and this whole week, I was thinking about what she said. I really don't understand one thing - why anyone would want to break someone else's heart just for fun. I'm sure the one getting played wouldn't feel exactly great, and do you really need to find someone else's misery for your own happiness? To me, that's just pure selfish, self-centred, and simply not caring about how someone else would feel. Also, you might be the player this round, but next time, the heart-broken one could be you.

I thought my 'theories' were sooo correct. Even in those TVB series, you always see this person that doesn't like another person (that likes him/herself), and they're troubling over how to tell them nicely, politely, and with least amount of pain for the other person. You never see them trying to figure out what the best way to play the other person is. But then, I started noticing things and people around me. I actually hear people talking about how cool it feels to turn down this person that had tried so hard to soften his/her heart. I connect this with what my friend said, and I think...'what are these people?'

Yeah, so anyway, I'm still lost in all these thoughts. In fact, I'm even feeling quite disappointed in my friend for thinking that way. I'm not saying that I'm right.I just know that hurting someone else, no matter in what way, is wrong.
